The exams take place twice a year:

Price
To attend the Danish exams PD1, PD2, PD3 and Studieprøven as well as Indfødsretsprøven and Medborgerskabsprøven you must pay a fee.
Danish exams are free of charge for students at UCplus
PD1, PD2, PD3 and Studieprøven are of course free of charge for students at UCplus.
Photo ID
You are required to show a valid photo ID to be admitted for both the written and oral Danish Language Exam. Read more about the ID requirements here.
Prepare yourself for the Danish exams at UCplus
At UCplus you will be well-prepared for the exam. We have information meetings prior to all Danish exams and preparatory PD3 and Studieprøve classes in Copenhagen.

Complaints
You can complain about the test, the course or the assessment in both written and oral tests. The complaint must be in writing and justified. The appeal deadline is four weeks after you have been informed of your grade. You can read more in the complaint guidelines here.
Special test conditions
If you are dyslexic or have a physical or mental disability, you can apply for a waiver to take the test with special conditions. After registering for the test, you must contact the school where you are taking the test no later than eight weeks before the written test is held. The school must have documentation of your disability. Find your local language center and related information here.
The exams are held in accordance to the “Prøvebekendtgørelsen” and “Karakterbekendtgørelsen”. Read more at the Ministry’s website.
Danish Examinations
Studieprøven
The written part of Studieprøven is held next time on the 13th of November 2023.
Oral part of the examination is held from 11th – 22nd of December 2023.
Studieprøven is the final examination on Danish Education 3, module 6 (C1-level). Studieprøven is the highest level of Danish Education. Studieprøven is useful eg if you plan to study in Denmark.
Studieprøven consist of both a written and an oral part. The written part consist of: Reading comprehension 1 and 2 (Læseforståelse) and Written presentation (Skriftlig fremstilling). At the oral examination, you will be tested in listening comprehension and oral communication. Attending Studieprøven for the first time requires that you register for both the written and the oral part. If you do not pass both parts in first attempt, you can try again by retake the one part you did not pass. Therefore, the written and the oral part can be purchased separately.
Studieprøven is free of charge for students at UCplus who are enroled on module 3.6.
The registration is for the exam not open yet.
Prøve i Dansk 3
The written part of PD3 is held next time on the 14th of November 2023.
Oral part of the examination is held from 11th – 22nd of December 2023.
PD3 is the final examination on Danish Education 3, module 5 (B2-level). You kan use PD3 for applying for Danish citizenship, among other things.
PD3 consist of both a written and an oral part. The written part consist of: Reading comprehension 1 and 2 (Læseforståelse) and Written presentation (Skriftlig fremstilling). At the oral examination, you will be tested in listening comprehension and oral communication.
PD3 is free of charge for students at UCplus who are enroled on module 3.5.
The registration for the exam is not open yet.
Prøve i Dansk 2
The written part of PD2 is held next time on the 15th of November 2023.
Oral part of the examination is held from 11th – 22nd of December 2022.
PD2 is the final examination on Danish Education 2, module 6 (written B1, oral B1+). You kan use PD3 for applying for permant residence, among other things.
PD2 consist of both a written and an oral part. The written part consist of: Reading comprehension 1 and 2 (Læseforståelse) and Written presentation (Skriftlig fremstilling). At the oral examination, you will be tested in listening comprehension and oral communication.
PD2 is free of charge for students at UCplus who are enroled on module 2.6.
The registration for the exam is not open yet.
Prøve i Dansk 1
The written part of PD1 is held next time on the 16th of November 2023.
Oral part of the examination is held from 11th – 22nd of December 2023.
PD1 is the final examination on Danish Education 1, module 6 (written A2, oral B1). You kan use PD1 in your job search, among other things.
PD1 consist of both a written and an oral part. The written part consist of: Reading comprehension 1 and 2 (Læseforståelse) and Written presentation (Skriftlig fremstilling). At the oral examination, you will be tested in listening comprehension and oral communication.
PD1 is free of charge for students at UCplus who are enroled on module 1.6.
The registration for the exam is not open yet.
Tests
Medborgerskabsprøven
Medborgerskabsprøven is held next time on the 31st of May 2023.
In order to obtain a permanent residence permit, foreigners in Denmark must, among other things, meet 2 out of 4 conditions. One of these conditions can be met by passing Medborgerskabsprøven. Exam participants will be tested in knowledge of Danish community, Danish culture and history.
The test is multiple choice and contains 25 questions. You must have a minimum of 20 right answers to pass.
The registration deadline is 26th of April 2023.

Medborgerskabsprøven
Indfødsretsprøven
Indfødsretsprøven is held next time the 31st of May 2023.
Indfødsretsprøven is a test in knowledge of the Danish community, Danish culture and history. Foreigners in Denmark must pass Indfødsretsprøven and meet a number of other conditions to obtain a Danish citizenship.
The test is multiple choice and contains 45 questions. You must have a minimum of 36 right answers to pass.
The registration deadline is 26th of April 2023.
