Do you love singing with others? And would you like to try singing Danish songs?
Join us for “Learn Danish Through Song” and improve your Danish by talking about and learning about songs and traditions—and by singing and playing music together with others. It’s for everyone—whether you’re used to singing and playing or are good at it. If you have an instrument, please feel free to bring it along!
We meet every other Tuesday in the Lounge at 4:00 p.m. to sing and play together. We’ll make sure you have a great time, and there will be opportunities to take breaks along the way.
We’ll sing a selection of Danish songs of various kinds, ranging from the classic “Højskolesangbog” to more modern songs.
If you sign up with your UCplus email address, you’ll be invited to join the group on Teams, where you can view the program, song lyrics, and links to the songs—and learn about Danish singing traditions.

Practical Information
- Date: Every other Tuesday (odd weeks)
- Time: 4:00–4:50 p.m.
- Location: Gyldenløvesgade 11, in the Lounge
- Cost: Free for everyone
- Language: We sing in Danish. Instructions are in English and Danish.
- We also work on things like pronunciation and vocabulary
- No registration required—just show up!
- On December 8, we’ll hold a small concert with and for anyone who’d like to join.
- Feel free to bring a friend, partner, or your children along, too.
