Join the Art Tour to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art where you will see current art exhibitions and have the opportunity to practice Danish through dialogue and reflection.

Programme
2:00: We meet at 2:00 PM at Café ”Hej Humlebæk” at Humlebæk Station, from where we will walk together to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
2:30-2:45: Curator and UCplus language teacher Rikke Jørgensen will give a short introduction in the parc of Louisiana (in Danish and English) to the main focus of the tour: the must-see exhibition of the season, Basquiat – Headstrong.
2:45-4:00: We see the exhibition Basquiat – Headstrong. This major solo presentation features works on paper by the legendary American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960–1988) and is the first comprehensive exhibition dedicated to his depictions of the human head. Occupying a unique position as icon, myth, and global brand, Basquiat transcended the boundaries of traditional art history. He emerged as a groundbreaking young artist, expressing himself through striking images of heads, bodies, and powerful symbols, before his life was cut short at the age of 27. Since then, the mythology surrounding his life and work has only grown, continuing to resonate strongly within today´s contemporary culture.
4:00-5:00: We meet in the café of Louisiana and talk in pairs about our favorite art work of art (remember to take a photo of the work) – in Danish of course.
